ORAL TRANSLATION
Simultaneous interpretation
in the booth
Simultaneous interpreting is a mode of interpreting in which the interpreter works in a soundproof booth and translates the speech from the source language to the target language in real-time. It is ideal for large events such as conferences, business trainings, congresses and symposia.
This type of translation requires special equipment consisting of a booth, a microphone and a receiver with headphones.

Remote (video) interpreting
Remote interpreting from home became popular in the pandemics due to social distancing rules and travel restrictions. The interpreters work without co-located booth partners and use a remote platform for simultaneous interpretation with a dedicated handover system.
Remote interpreting is technically more demanding as it increases the cognitive load on the interpreter who has to manage the technical and physical aspects of the
meeting and working environment. Therefore, the price of remote interpretation service is somewhat higher.

Consecutive interpreting
Mode of interpreting in which the interpreter takes notes of the original speech in a manner that facilitates memory support when reproducing the speech in the target language. It is ideal for business meetings, workshops, court or notary public hearings, study tours, tours of industrial plants etc.

Whisper interpreting or chuchotage
Mode of interpreting in which the interpreter whispers simultaneous interpretation to a small group of maximum 8 persons; this method requires no equipment, although it may be done via a microphone and headphones for better sound quality. It is mostly used when a few audience members don’t understand the source language.

Proofreading
Proofreading is the linguistic and stylistic editing of a text in accordance with the standard language and consists of the correction of

Proofreading is done by native speakers who are often translators themselves and is charged separately.

Copyediting is the process of checking for mistakes, inconsistencies and repetition to improve readability and publication of your manuscript.
A copyeditor ensures that text is free of errors in grammar, spelling, syntax, and punctuation, as well as consistent in spelling, capitalisation, font usage, numeral and, hyphenation.
